What are Blunts?

Also known as gars or rillos, blunts are mixtures of tobacco and various other plants that are loosely wrapped in some type of cigar wrapper, usually a tobacco leaf. One of the benefits of this approach to legal highs is that you really need nothing more than the filler, the wrapper, and something to light the end of the blunt with whenever you’re ready to enjoy the fruit of your efforts.

There are some things to keep in mind if you plan on rolling your own blunt. One has to do with the preparation of the herbs. Many recommend that you coarsely grind the herbs, rather than using a fine grind. This helps you to still get the full effect of the herbs, but minimises the chances of sucking some tiny particles into your mouth, where they can be somewhat irritating.

Another part of blunt preparation has to do with how tightly you pack the contents within the wrapper. In general, you never want the blunt to be as tightly packed as your average commercial cigar. However, you do want it packed enough so the herbal cigar will not bend, droop, and fall apart while you are smoking it. Shoot for a consistency that is somewhat like that of a cigarette, and you should be fine.

Many people prefer the blunt to other methods, because there is no need to spend money on a bunch of paraphernalia. As long as you have some way to grind the herbs, adequate wrapping, and a reliable lighter, you’re good to go. There is no need to set up equipment in advance, or spend a lot of time cleaning items afterward. The sheer simplicity of the blunt, coupled with the quality of the highs themselves, make this a great alternative for many people.
