My home insurance is due up for renewal and after searching numerous comparison websites and checking countless quotes I decided to stay with my current insurer Policy Expert. Their quote was about the same as the other top insurers and covers my house contents up to £50,000 and has accidental damage cover as well.
Having claimed for a new carpet earlier this year (my sons friend spilt a whole bottle of Lucozade on our cream living room carpet), I thought that our premium would go up but it didn’t. Making a claim was easy and straight forward with Policy Expert and the carpet fitters came out within a week and measured and fitted the new carpet.
With an excess of only £150 it also saved me money as it would of cost me as least that just to fit the carpet.
Although other insurers were up to £3 less a month I’ve decided to stay with Policy Expert as I know they are very helpful and quick.
Oh yeah, and Lucozade is banned from my house now
I’m pretty keen on woodworking and designing and building boxes in particular, and though it was about time that I got a proper carpenters workbench instead of struggling with my 8 year old Black and Decker workmate.
I searched on the internet through various DIY websites and decided on the Draper 53120 Carpenters Workbench because it had good reviews and only cost £130. It got delivered yesterday and I spent this morning putting it together. The instructions are pretty limited and not very, well instructional but luckily it’s pretty straight forward to put together as most of it come pre-assembled.
Once together the workbench is solid and the two vices seem very strong and sturdy; the draw also seems pretty strong but I will only be using that to store small items like nails and screws.
For £130 I can’t complain and it’ll do the job for me, guess what everyone will be getting for Christmas now? That’s right a wooden box made by me

It is more than likely you can accurately predict the bestselling cars in the UK. You are probably quite familiar with the popular models that your neighbours and colleagues drive, you know the famous makes, and you are well aware that the days when the British car industry manufactured mass-driven vehicles are long gone. Nowadays, competition for best used cars for sale in the UK is tough.
The highest scoring used automatic cars for sale are Fords, particularly the Focus, Fiesta and Mondeo models. Ford is a popular make, cheap to maintain and relatively economic. The price of a used Ford is low, and availability in stores is huge, which makes it a top choice among UK buyers. In second and third places are Vauxhall and Volkswagen, two makes that are very similar in price range and popularity. Well-liked used Vauxhall models include Corsa, Astra, Zafira and Vectra, all manufactured by General Motors. The preferred used Volkswagen is the Golf, manufactured in Germany. Volkswagen also scores highly with the BMW 3 Series and Audi range. Although prices of a new BMW or Audi can be quite high, buying a cheaper used alternative is very common in the UK. Finally, the Japanese Mazda, Honda and Toyota are competing with the French Peugeot, Renault and Citroën for the last positions in the top ten. It seems that the Japanese are gaining a reputation for reliable and safe cars, but the French still cut it as leaders in innovation and easy-to-maintain motors.
The simple truth is that it is a very specific combination of factors that make a used car ‘best selling’. Everyone knows the expensive cars, the cool cars, and the ones with the biggest engines, but it is difficult to point out the best selling. The popular used cars for sale boast an average price, are reliable, are easy to maintain, are a popular make, require no major repairs, and are safe and easy to drive. It seems that the German cars tick all the boxes for best-selling used cars among UK drivers.
I’m a big fan of vaporizers and have used my friends a lot; he has the Iolite Vaporizer and if I had the money I’d get one too. The Iolite is a handheld vaporizer and is completely portable, needing no batteries or mains adaptor as it runs on lighter gas.
The Iolite Vaporizer comes complete with a carry case, spare mouthpiece, cleaning tools and a herb container. Once the vaporizer is filled, me and my friend can get around 15 minutes of use out of it until the herbs need changing, which really saves you money.
Vaporising is very different to smoking, your head feels somewhat clearer and it is much healthier for your lungs than smoking which is what I like best about it.
Maybe I can persuade Mrs Grainger to get me one for Christmas, but I wouldn’t hold my breath!

Being a Manchester United fan and seeing my team lose 6-1 to Man City at Old Trafford was devastating, but it does by no means mean that Man City have taken over the dominance Manchester.
Yes United were beaten by the better team and looked frail in defence, but all good United teams of the past have had some shockers of results and still ended up on top. I don’t think Man Utd have had the best overall tem in the league for many years now; you can see this by their results against the top 4/5 teams over the past seasons, but their ability to beat most of the other teams keeps them on top.
The team has lost whatever they had at the beginning of the season and really needs to find its top gear again and quickly, but what you can never do is write off a Manchester United team.
Hopefully this result will kick the team into life again and as Sir Alex said himself, this won’t happen again.
Every forex trader needs certain things in order to get started. Without these tools, trading is not possible. When you decide you are ready, ensure you have everything on this checklist in order to become a successful trader. Getting what you need takes little time, meaning you can start trading in no time at all.
Forex Training
Start by actually learning something about the forex market. Join a forex forum, visit professional trading websites and practice with free demo accounts. These will all give you a good background in forex. They will also help you further understand the tools you will be using to perform trades. Reading CitiFX Pro Reviews sites will also give you a good indication of how reputable a broker is.
Find a Broker
While it is possible to trade without a broker, most traders find it easier to use a broker. You can work one on one with a broker or use a platform to input your trades. Brokers then ensure trades are correct before entering a position. Reputable brokers are registered as a futures commission merchant. Since they go through large financial institutions, your money is safer and better managed.
Forex Trading Software
All traders must use some type of software to enter their trades. This can be web based or client based. Most prefer web based, since it is available from any computer and sometimes from mobile devices with internet connections. Software also provides analysis tools, real time quotes and even news feeds to make trading forex easier. Most brokers have their own software. Features vary greatly, so it is important to choose software which best fits your trading needs. Demo accounts allow you to try software before you open a live account.
After playing the Fifa 12 demo for a couple of weeks I decided that it was time to get the real thing. At first I didn’t like the new defensive controls as I thought it ruined the game a bit, but after a bit of practise I think it’s a lot more realistic.
The graphics are a little better than the last one (on the demo anyway) but not a lot of difference really. The two major changes that I’ve noticed are the new defensive controls and the player impact engine. Both seem to add more realism to the game, but can also become frustrating if you need to get a result.
Can’t wait to get the new teams and stats, and with the special edition you also get ultimate team player cards, so I’ll have to give that a go.

Levitra, a drug used to help men with erectile dysfunction has been approved by Scotland’s medical watchdog and could soon be available on the NHS. Levitra is the first erectile dysfunction medication to be in orodisersible tablet form, which means that it melts on the tongue without the need for a glass of water; this is especially useful for those who have difficulty swallowing
Sufferers can also buy Levitra online, but the new approval means that erectile dysfunction sufferers will also be able to get it on the NHS.
It is estimated that around 2.3 million men suffer from some form of erectile dysfunction in the UK, but only 1 in 10 men receive medication for the condition.
Good news for Scottish men then!
I’ve toyed with the ideal of taking a cruise next year but often think that being on a cruise ship for 14 days may be a bit constricting, so I’ve been looking at a cruise and stay holiday instead. Cruise and stay holidays seem to be the best of both worlds and I found a great deal on Imagine Cruising.
The deal I have seen is a 14 might cruise and stay holiday in the Caribbean which starts with a 5 night stay in the Gran Melia Hotel, followed by a 7 night cruise around the Caribbean with Celebrity Cruises and a 2 night stay at the San Juan Hotel to finish things off.
The cruise sets off from San Juan and visits some of the most exotic Caribbean destinations including Barbados, St Lucia and Antigua giving you time to look around and take in the scenery.
Prices for this cruise and stay holiday start from just £1,398 per person and I’m really tempted to book one of these for next year.
