Been playing the Battlefield 3 beta, its great!

As you may be aware I like my gaming, especially first person shooters and I’ve been playing the new Battlefield 3 beta. I got access to the beta 48 hours early as I had a copy of Medal of Honor and I have to say that EA and Dice have definitely come up trumps.

The beta contains only one map Operation Metro, but it does show off the stunning visuals and assault game play we are all use to from the battlefield franchise. There aren’t any vehicles unfortunately so we will have to wait for the full release to get them, but it doesn’t detract from the gameplay whatsoever.

The map starts in a park with two control points that you have to either defend or attack. If both command posts are destroyed you move into the subway, then the tube station and finally the city on the other side. The map is huge and a big departure from the close nit maps on Call of Duty: Black Ops.

The fluidity in which you can jump over most objects is a nice touch, as well as the destructible landscape. Throwing a grenade for instance, when it blows up it will take out trees and bits of wall.

The graphics are simply spectacular and really immerse you in the game and I can’t wait to play the full game when it comes out in October. Until then I’ll have a chance to practice at least until the 11th October when the beta ends.

A simple diet change could help erectile dysfunction sufferers

A major US study released last week has shown that an increase in physical activity and a change in diet habits helps to reverse mild erectile dysfunction. These lifestyle changes also help men who have severe erectile dysfunction if they are on medication as well.

In a review of six erectile dysfunction clinical trials, scientists found that the medication worked better if the man changed his diet to a healthier one and participated in more physical activities.

The launch of Viagra nearly 13 years ago has revolutionised the treatment for erectile dysfunction sufferers, with a 70 – 80% success rate, but not everyone can take it. Men with high blood pressure or angina cannot use the drug, and it can cause some side effects in some users including headaches and nausea.

Treatments for erectile dysfunction is a lucrative business and with an estimated 40% of men suffering some kind of ED by the age of 40, its little surprise that scientists all over the globe are working on alternatives to Viagra.

Airbrush: The Complete Studio Handbook Review

I’ve been getting into airbrushing recently after buying a cheap set of eBay a couple of months ago. I’m really terrible (that’s why I haven’t posted any of my pictures so far) and decided to buy a book off Amazon.

After reading some of the online reviews I decided on Airbrush: The Complete Studio Handbook by Radu Vero and I have to say that even after a week of reading this book my technique is 100% better.

The book starts off giving information about different airbrushes, paints and compressors, as well as airbrush maintenance. The next section has a wealth of information for beginners including practise techniques, shadowing effects and using masks.

Towards the end of the book there are a couple of step by step tutorials covering black and white pictures and colour portraits.

I’ve been working on the technique section at the moment and getting used to the way my airbrush works by creating shadows and blending colours, but will work my way through the book to the advanced portrait section soon.

Airbrush: The Complete Studio Handbook is a great book for anyone that is beginning with an airbrush or even if you just want to know about the subject a bit more.

Buying Forex Software

Automated forex trading is booming.  The large market of trading in foreign currencies appeals to many investors because it is easy to do, it is inexpensive to get started, and the market hours make it convenient for trading at any time of the day or night.

Trading Software

Those who are serious about trading in the forex market use software to help analyse the market and to organise trades and information.  Having the correct software program can make trading more efficient and therefore more profitable.

Finding the Best Software

Since software is so important to successful trading, it is essential to take the time to select the correct program for your needs.  Ask other forex traders to determine the software solution other traders use.  Find an online forum where traders discuss forex and ask for their software recommendations.

Look for a software program that is easy to use.  A complicated program often has more features than a typical trader needs and its use can be more difficult than a program that simply performs common tasks.  Always try the demonstration version of a software program before buying.  If it works well as a demonstration then it may be worth buying.  Make sure to try several different programs before committing to a final purchase.  Before making a final decision, ask for a money-back guarantee.  Any reputable company such as Citi Forex or Metatrader that produces software will be happy to guarantee it and provide a refund if a trader is unsatisfied with the software performance.

Just joined Love Film and its great!

About a week ago I joined Love Film and I have to say it’s a great service. My friend at work brought in a gift card that entitles me to two months free; I chose the Unlimited & Games package which normally costs £14.99 a month.

I got my first two blu-ray discs on Thursday last week, The Fighter and The Other Guys which are well worth watching be the way and have my next two coming. With the Unlimited & Games package I can also rent out Xbox 360 games and watch movies online (though I haven’t tried that yet).

I’m really impressed on how quick the service is and have already loaded up my rental list with over 30 movies and games. It is especially good considering that you can rent games as well because after our local Choices store closed you either had to buy the games at full price or buy them second-hand.

I’ll try to add some films reviews onto my blog when I get the chance.

I really want a ROOR Pipe

I was just aimlessly looking on the internet earlier as you do, and came across the ROOR Steamroller Pipe which looks like something I should have. ROOR are best known for making glass bongs but have branched out offering these simple yet stunning ROOR Pipes.

All of ROOR’s bongs are hand blown and the same goes for their pipes, making them stronger and more durable than ordinary pipes. They come in three different sizes small, medium and large and retail for around £10.99, £14.99 and £19.99 respectively.

I may have to give one of these ROOR pipes a go, I’ve tried ROOR bongs before and they are great, just hope that the pipes live up to expectation.

Dyson unveils heater just in time for winter

Dyson, famous for its vacuum cleaners and more recently their bladeless fans has unveiled its newest product, the Dyson Hot heater. Using the companies patented Air Multiplier technology, the Dyson Hot can heat up a room quickly and efficiently.

With similar styling to the Dyson Fan, the Dyson Hot can be set to a temperature of between 1 and 37 degrees Celsius by the user and has taken a team of 22 engineers nearly three years to develop.

Talking about the product, Sir James Dyson said, “Other fan heaters rely on inefficient motors or dust friendly grills,” adding that, “As the heat rises you’re left with a partially heated room and a worrying burning smell. Dyson engineers have developed a heater that produces no smell and heats the whole room”.

The Dyson Hot is available now from their website for £269.99 and will be released nationwide in October.

Now if only I had £269 to spend on a heater instead of using my crappy £30 one then I’d be happy.

Fancy some new clothes that aren’t stripy or checked

I don’t know what it is about fashion now a days but once on retailer latches on to a specific style, all of them seem to do the same. I’m looking for some new clothes and the style this year seems to be stripy or checked shirts and skinny jeans.

All I want is some plain jumpers and shirts and a pair of jeans that aren’t skinny, but these are few and far between. Although there is some choice I’m not into wearing mustard yellow or tango orange.

Bring back plain clothes, there timeless and you don’t look like a fashion victim after just a couple of months.

Cutting holiday costs

Going on holiday is expensive, there is no way around it, obviously if you have the money you can splash out on the best, however for many of us we have to weigh up our options and look for the cheapest way possible, especially since the cost of flying has increased.

Many people say why not stay here in the UK and cut out the cost of flights, which is a great option, however even getting around the UK is expensive. If you drive you’re looking at spending a fortune on petrol. If you take a train you’re looking at costly tickets and cramped surrounding whilst you travel. Finally if you take a bus or coach you may save some money but public transport isn’t ideal for families with lots of luggage and a lot of services have been cut which means you can’t get everywhere by bus.

Plus for me I like to get out of this country even for a week, especially somewhere a bit warmer, we have had quite a poor summer and it would be quite nice to spend a week relaxing somewhere warm. You can use comparison websites to find holiday deals such as cheapest flights and cheapest hotels however booking separately can cost you extra. I have decided instead to look at all inclusive holidays, only because of the ease and the fact everything is paid for up front and you don’t have to factor in eating and drinking costs.

All inclusive holidays are becoming more popular as people look at ways to reduce the burden the cost of holidays cause. If you book well in advance out can find some great deals, plus it gives you time to save before you have to pay it off and finally you don’t have to worry about taking lots of spending money for food and drink.

In these austere times getting the best deal is imperative especially if you really want a holiday and lets face who doesn’t want to go on holiday!
