I’m in heaven with my Chinese massage!

I’ve never really thought all this massage stuff really worked until my wife got given a Chinese massage handbook for her birthday and I became the unwitting subject. I suffer from back pain quite frequently as in my job I sit down for the duration of the day and don’t have great posture, so after my wife had read through her book I decided she could start there.

Now the principles of Chinese massage is to bring the body back into balance through the eight principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine which includes, kneading, rubbing and applying pressure to the areas in-between the joints (these are known as the eight gates).

Although it was painful at first, (I was in pain anyway) the massage techniques in the book soon had me relaxed and the pain was definitely subsiding. After the massage I felt like I had more energy and because the pain had all but gone I felt like I could have a nice, relaxing night.

This has become a weekly occurrence in my house and I have even begun to read this book so that I can give massages to my wife as well. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
