I Want One – The Plenty Handheld Vaporizer By Storz & Bickel

I like to smoke and I like new and novel smoking devices, so when I came across the Plenty Handheld vaporizer on the Shiva Head Shop I had to take a closer look. Made by the same people that brought you the Volcano Vaporizer, this new device has a lot to live up to.

The Plenty Vaporizer is compact and lightweight, making it a great choice for those who are constantly on the move, and is powerful enough to get the job done. This vaporizer seems really easy to use, simply plug it in, fill it up with your chosen herbs and your away.

The Plenty Handheld Vaporizer has a temperature control which can be set between 130°c and 202°c and comes with a three year manufacturer’s guarantee.

I’m really interested in this vaporizer, as I’ve been dreaming of getting the Volcano Vaporizer for some time, but I think this device might better suit me because of its compactness and ease of use.

If only I had some money!

If I had the money – Iolite Vaporizer

I’m a big fan of vaporizers and have used my friends a lot; he has the Iolite Vaporizer and if I had the money I’d get one too. The Iolite is a handheld vaporizer and is completely portable, needing no batteries or mains adaptor as it runs on lighter gas.

The Iolite Vaporizer comes complete with a carry case, spare mouthpiece, cleaning tools and a herb container. Once the vaporizer is filled, me and my friend can get around 15 minutes of use out of it until the herbs need changing, which really saves you money.

Vaporising is very different to smoking, your head feels somewhat clearer and it is much healthier for your lungs than smoking which is what I like best about it.

Maybe I can persuade Mrs Grainger to get me one for Christmas, but I wouldn’t hold my breath!

I really want a ROOR Pipe

I was just aimlessly looking on the internet earlier as you do, and came across the ROOR Steamroller Pipe which looks like something I should have. ROOR are best known for making glass bongs but have branched out offering these simple yet stunning ROOR Pipes.

All of ROOR’s bongs are hand blown and the same goes for their pipes, making them stronger and more durable than ordinary pipes. They come in three different sizes small, medium and large and retail for around £10.99, £14.99 and £19.99 respectively.

I may have to give one of these ROOR pipes a go, I’ve tried ROOR bongs before and they are great, just hope that the pipes live up to expectation.

Man’s Ruin Spinning Ashtray may be just what I need

I needed a new astray for the house as I’m sick of clearing up ash on the floor when it gets knocked over. I found a great spinning ashtray on Shiva Head Shop called Man’s Ruin that fits the bill nicely.

The Man’s Ruin Ashtray has a scantily clad woman sitting on a dice, with cards and skulls on the base. I’m quite into American hot rods and stuff like that so this one suits me. The spinning lid design means that all of the ash and cigarette butts are enclosed inside and hopefully if it’s knocked over it’ll stay inside and not go all over the carpet.

At just £12.99 how could I say no!

If I had the money I’d get the Volcano Vaporizer

German organisation, Storz and Bickel, specialise in vaporizing technology and are the manufacturers of the famous ‘Volcano vaporizer’.  This is a device that is used in the ingestion of herbs, cooking specific foods and aromatherapy.  Its success is due to its ability to control and manipulate airflow and temperature.

The Volcano vaporizer consists of valves, a heatproof bag and a separate chamber where plant material or essential oil is placed.  The material is gently heated, using a variable temperature and the pressure causes hot air to rise in a steady convection stream.  The vapours are released and collected in the bag.  Once the bag has inflated, the user can adjust the valves and inhale and enjoy a pleasurable experience.

The vaporizer is popular in the field of aromatherapy, because of the low temperatures it requires.  Excessive heat can destroy the aromatic compounds found in plant extracts, essential oils and spices.  Instead, the minimum temperatures employed by the Volcano vaporizer ensures that the fragile active ingredients are collected unharmed.

The world’s best chefs use the Volcano vaporizer to release the flavours and aromas of fragile herbs and spices that would otherwise be damaged or difficult to collect.  This method of releasing flavours and spices from herbs and spices is known as molecular gastronomy.

Chefs Grant Achatz in the USA and Ferran Adria in Spain, both successfully use this modern culinary technique.

Bought a new bong – the D-Lux Bubble Ice Bong

As you’ll know if you read my blog I like to have a regular smoke with my bongs and pipes and thought it was about time to buy a new bong as my current one is a bit worn. I wanted a compact bong and the D-Lux 30cm Bubble Ice Bong fits the bill perfectly.

It turned up this morning and I have to say I’m pretty impressed with the way it looks. The acrylic body seems strong and durable and the chrome accents really make it stand out. The bubbled base means that I can put more water in it and it also has an ice twist which is great for cooling the smoke down even more for a smooth hit.

This acrylic bong also came with a pipe screen so I can use it straight away; I’ll try it out tonight and let you all know what it’s like.

Just bought some Pool Ball Ashtrays for my games room

I’m lucky enough to have my own games room in the concrete shed in the garden with all kind of boys toys including a pool table, TV and Xbox 360. I use it mainly when my friends come round and we chill out in there and have a few smokes and play on the Xbox.

One thing that does annoy me is that no matter how careful we are, there always seems to be cigarette butts and ash on the floor and ashtrays always seem to get knocked over. I have ordered some ashtrays from Shiva Head Shop and hopefully this will solve the problem.

I bought 4 all in all and received them this morning; they are shaped like the number 8 ball on the pool table and will absolutely fit in with my games room. No more butts or ash on the floor for me! (at least I hope).

Metal Rizla Rolling Machine – perfect for lazy rollers like me!

As you know from reading my blog, I like to have a smoke every so often and because I’m rubbish as rolling my own cigarettes I have bought the Metal Rizla Rolling Machine. This handy little device has a metal base and a unique clipping lock mechanism making it even easier to roll the perfect cigarette.

To use, simply open out the rollers and place an even amount of tobacco in-between the rollers (I put a filter in there as well) and close the rollers. Next roll the rollers a full turn towards you to compact your tobacco, then insert your rolling paper (gum line at the top and facing you) and rotate the closest roller to pull in the paper. Moisten the gum line and roll both rollers downwards through a couple of rotations to produce the perfect roll-up.

I have used it loads since I got it and it does roll a great cigarette, and for just £2.99 it’s a great smoking accessory to have!

Looking for a Christmas present for my brother-in-law

Both me and my brother-in-law like to have a smoke and while I like my trusty bong, Jim like smoking pipes, so when I saw the Solo Pipe on the Shiva Head Shop website I knew that I had to get it for him.

The Solo Pipe is an all-in-one pipe/lighter combination, all you have to do is fill with your chosen herbs, push the button on the side and the lighter springs into life swivelling round and lighting the herbs.

I have ordered it today, so will hopefully get it this week, and since him and my sister are coming to our house for Christmas we will be able to try it out. I’ll let you know what it’s like when I have a go, but from the video on the website it looks pretty impressive to me!

Going to order some more herbal blends for my bong

I blogged a couple of months ago about my new bong and I have to say that its brilliant, but it is now time for me to buy some more herbal highs as I’m running low. I’ve had the Mad Alice’s Smoking herbs before so will order them again, but wanted to try something new so I think I’m going to order some Yuba Gold Seal.

I only use my bong on weekends so don’t use that much of my herbs so these should last me a while. I will write a review of the Yuba Gold Seal when I try it and give you my opinion, but for just £3.99 per pack I don’t think you can go wrong.
